About the role
Alpaca is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and analytical Sales Analyst to support and increase the effectiveness of our growing sales organization. This person will work closely with Sales leadership and Account Executives across the sales cycle, helping the team stay prepared, organized, and focused on customers.
The role is designed to be a force multiplier for the sales team by reducing administrative and research burdens, improving the quality and speed of customer preparation, and building repeatable systems and workflows that allow Account Executives to spend more time closing deals.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, commercially minded, and naturally looks for ways to make the team more effective through better processes, data, tools, and automation.
What you'll do
- Support Account Executives with customer research, meeting preparation, presentations, and follow-up.
- Prepare account briefs, background materials, customer proposals, pricing materials, and business cases.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and deliverables required to move opportunities forward.
- Maintain and organize sales collateral, product materials, FAQs, and competitive information.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Legal, and Compliance to ensure sales materials remain accurate.
- Assist in the development of sales playbooks, best practices, templates, and new-hire onboarding.
- Track key priorities, strategic opportunities, and cross-functional initiatives for Sales leadership.
- Identify recurring work that can be standardized, automated, delegated, or eliminated.
- Build and maintain repeatable GTM workflows across CRM, AI tools, and internal data sources.
What they're looking for
- 2–4 years of experience in sales enablement, sales support, business operations, consulting, or financial services.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong PowerPoint/Google Slides and Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Fluency with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor agents for automation.
- Fluency with the modern GTM stack, including HubSpot, Clay, and Apollo.
- Analytical depth including comfort with pipeline data, SQL, or BI tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Proactive nature and ability to anticipate needs without significant direction.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting an enterprise or B2B sales organization.
- Experience in fintech, financial services, brokerage, or SaaS.
- Experience creating customer presentations, proposals, and account briefs.
- Ability to learn technical products and translate them into commercially relevant information.
- Experience supporting complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.

The hot takeJeff's read on Alpaca
I like their clear views on the value of remote work, check out this quote from their careers page:
> "Our teams are not just global, we're also 100% remote and have team members in almost every time zone and continent (except Antarctica). By joining Alpaca you'll be part of a multicultural, international organization."
I also like that their Glassdoor scores are going up (now 3.7/5), and they have some solid testimonials. I'm a LITTLE wary of this statement that gives me a bit of a "hustle culture" vibe:
> "We're keen on that last 10% of effort and believe that the details do matter. If this sounds like you, then you're in the right place."
