Our AI-powered platform connects the entire PR workflow in one place, helping communications teams manage media relationships, understand the conversations shaping their brands, take action and measure their impact.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, technically curious Media Automation Specialist to help configure, automate, and improve the workflows that power Muck Rack’s global media intelligence services. In this role, you’ll help transition manual operational processes into scalable, reliable automated workflows across content acquisition, processing, validation, and delivery systems.
What you'll do
- Help migrate manual media-services workflows into scalable, automated processes using internal tools and platforms such as n8n
- Translate client briefs, editorial requirements, and operational needs into clear workflow configurations
- Configure, maintain, and improve automations that support content acquisition, validation, tagging, summarization, and delivery
- Monitor workflow health, investigate errors, and troubleshoot data-quality or system-performance issues
- Build and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and client-configuration records
- Partner with Global Services, Product, Engineering, and other internal teams to ensure client requirements are accurately implemented
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve reliability, and increase the speed and accuracy of service delivery
- Test workflow changes and validate outputs against client requirements
- Support vendor-related processes, including service evaluation and invoice reconciliation
- Proactively use AI tools to improve productivity and support process improvement
What they're looking for
- Experience or strong interest in workflow automation, systems configuration, process improvement, or operational tooling
- Familiarity with n8n, Make, Zapier, Power Automate, Google Apps Script, or similar workflow-automation tools
- Comfort working with APIs, webhooks, spreadsheets, structured data, or system integrations
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with close attention to detail and data quality
- Ability to turn a non-technical operational need into a clear, repeatable workflow
- Experience documenting processes, writing SOPs, or maintaining operational configurations
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience in media monitoring, media intelligence, content operations, customer onboarding, or vendor management

I would PREFER a "no meeting any day" policy, but one step at a time, Jeff. We will get there and it will be glorious.
✔︎ Geo-neutral pay alert! "We believe in equitable pay regardless of where you live."
