    About the role

Sumsub is the first AI-powered trust infrastructure for compliance operations at scale. It connects identity and business verification, fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, and risk workflows, helping teams reduce manual work and enter new markets.

We are looking for a hands-on, high-ownership Product Manager to drive our core automation engine for KYC and document verification. Your mission is clear: replace manual operational work with intelligent automation.

You will focus on optimizing how we read, analyze, obscure, and fraud-check documents using OCR, computer vision, LLMs, and custom ML models. This is a heavy back-end, high-efficiency role with virtually no consumer UI/UX or A/B testing.

    What you'll do

    • Own the end-to-end product roadmap for converting manual document processing tasks into high-accuracy automated pipelines.
    • Identify practical, high-value applications for computer vision, OCR, and LLMs/AI agents to structure unstructured document data.
    • Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal stakeholders like CSMs and Sales teams.
    • Rapidly analyze incoming requirements, evaluate technical feasibility, and translate them into actionable specifications for ML and backend engineers.
    • Support audits and certification following regulation and clients' standards.
    • Own prioritization, sprint execution, and direct delivery to production.
    • Define, track, and optimize core performance metrics such as automation rate, precision, recall, and processing latency using SQL.
    • Personally test and validate product behavior, data extraction accuracy, and edge-case workflows.

    What they're looking for

    • 3+ years in PM/TPM roles with a strong background as a former Software Developer, QA Engineer, or L3 Technical Specialist.
    • Deep understanding of API architectures, microservices, automation frameworks, and backend data processing pipelines.
    • Practical understanding of how computer vision, OCR, and LLM/prompt engineering work to evaluate accuracy and technical possibility.
    • Demonstrated experience replacing manual human tasks with automated software solutions.
    • Ability to write SQL queries to analyze system accuracy and measure performance metrics.
    • Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced environment with high autonomy.
    • Ability to break down complex technical trade-offs into structured, client-friendly logic.
    • Fluent English.

    Nice to have

    • Direct experience with document processing, KYC/AML workflows, or fraud detection systems.
    • Practical experience applying LLMs/agents to solve unstructured data extraction challenges.
    • Software Development background.

The hot takeJeff's read on Sumsub

There is SO much to like about this company, starting with the very first line on their careers page: "Trust over control. We hire smart people and let them shine. No micromanaging, no games—just trust, ownership, and great work." This is EVERYTHING that you look for in a company. They are all about output over attendance, they don't micromanage, they have strong Glassdoor reviews, and a MOSTLY clear remote work policy.
