About the role
Modash helps brands scale creator partnerships on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Brands pay creators through free products, one-time payments and affiliate commissions. Today those are separate flows rather than one coherent experience.
The Senior Product Designer/Product Manager will own the payments experience in the Payments/Creator team, from brands setting up deals and paying for them to creators getting paid. The role combines design and product management: deciding what to build and why, then designing how it works.
You'll report to the Head of Product and work closely with a dedicated engineering team lead and other designer/PMs on product ideas, the shared design system and synced roadmaps.
What you'll do
- Own the payments workflow end to end for free products, one-time payments and affiliate commissions, for brands and creators alike.
- Work on prototypes and concepts for future iterations, design them, collect feedback and prepare requirements for engineering.
- Prepare user stories and explain them to engineers.
- Do QA once the work is ready, give and receive feedback in retros, and decide when the product is good enough to get into customers' hands.
- Talk with customers about their pains and needs around paying creators, gifting products and running affiliate programs.
- Keep everyone in the company up to date on your roadmap, new releases and plans for the next sprints.
- Work closely with product marketing so your product stands out and customers understand what's new.
- Track your impact using customer feedback and north star metrics.
- Onboard with the product and Creator teams on how brands and creators use Modash today.
- Join customer calls with brands and creators and use Fullstory and Amplitude to see where payment flows break down.
- Join sprint planning with the engineering team and get to know the backlog.
What they're looking for
- Experience as both a product designer and product manager or in a hybrid PM/design role, ideally at a B2B SaaS company.
- Experience writing great user stories and communicating designs clearly to developers.
- Experience prioritizing work with a bigger goal in mind and building a roadmap yourself, with the ability to explain prioritization decisions.
- Experience working with a design system to keep the experience coherent.
- Extreme attention to detail, noticing wrong spacing, unclear labels and missing edge cases.
- A get-it-done attitude: finding solutions, motivating yourself and keeping things moving despite roadblocks.
- Comfort with and enjoyment of a fast pace and constant change in a growing company.
- Aspiration to be great.
- Interest in the creator economy and values aligned with the mission to help creators get paid.
- Fluency in English.
Nice to have
- UX work on affiliate, marketplace or payments products.
- Strong instincts in research or analytics; you don't need to be an expert in both.
- Experience with Figma, Linear, Notion, Amplitude and Fullstory.

The hot takeJeff's read on Modash
Modash has an insane careers page, including two words in 1,239 font size. Jokes aside, it feels very employee-first with three videos of the people on company retreats. They have a 4.5 on Glassdoor, a clear WFA remote policy, paid retreats, unlimited PTO, and learning benefits.
