About the role
DuckDuckGo is the online protection company and a remote-first team of 400+ on a mission to raise the standard of trust online. Founded in 2008 and profitable since 2014, the company serves millions of users through its privacy-focused browser, search engine, and subscription services.
The culture is built on trust, inclusivity, and empowered project management, where team members take full ownership of their work from scoping to execution. As part of the Marketing & Communications Functional Team, you will drive profitable acquisition of paid subscribers to help people take back control of their personal information.
What you'll do
- Manage high priority marketing campaigns, including planning, hands-on execution, testing, optimization, and analysis.
- Create and execute a new marketing program for paid subscriptions to drive profitable growth.
- Deliver results from new channel testing, creative testing, and optimized conversion funnels.
- Use aggregate measurement, experimentation, and judgment rather than user-level tracking to prove privacy-respecting advertising practices.
- Support strategy and planning for new paid advertising initiatives to scale subscriptions.
- Partner with Engineering and Product to build and optimize landing pages, product experiences, and instrumentation.
What they're looking for
- 7+ years of experience in digital advertising roles.
- Demonstrated experience with strategic planning and execution in digital marketing platforms like app store ads, paid social, and mobile app networks.
- Hands-on expertise standing up paid subscription programs from scratch.
- Track record of scaling subscriber growth profitably against LTV and payback.
- Advanced analytical and measurement abilities, including app economics, incrementality testing, and modeling.
- Ability to execute highly complex and ambiguous projects across business strategy and marketing tactics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
- 2+ years of experience in paid acquisition for freemium consumer subscription apps.
- Experience driving subscription growth where subscription revenue is a secondary revenue model.
