About the role
At Yodo1, we don’t just grow games—we help turn them into household names. With billions of downloads across our portfolio, we’ve spent more than a decade shaping the growth of iconic titles.
Yodo1 is looking for a Game Operations Manager for our China games team. Be the strategic owner of our game's live service, Transformers: Earth Wars, a 10M+ downloads build and battle mobile game, for millions of Chinese players, bridging our global strategy with the unique needs of the local market.
What you'll do
- Design and execute a comprehensive calendar of in-game events, sales, bundles, and seasonal content tailored specifically for Chinese players.
- Strategize and implement bundle pricing and event structures, including event leaderboards, pvp rewards, and gacha mechanics, to maximize LTV (Lifetime Value) and ARPPU (Average Revenue Per Paying User).
- Adapt global game features, events, battle passes, and promotions to be culturally relevant and engaging for the China market, adjusting difficulty, rewards, and themes as needed.
- Set up, test, and launch live events within the game using CMS/CRM tools, writing all related notifications and in-game messages.
- Analyze daily player data to understand what drives engagement and spending. Report on the success of specific bundles and events, using data to iterate on future offers.
- Work closely with local community and marketing teams to gather player feedback and identify pain points or opportunities for new events.
- Act quickly to resolve live game problems, including server issues and exploit bugs, coordinating fixes and communicating with players to maintain trust.
- Ensure all game operations comply with local regulations, including loot box disclosures, and platform guidelines.
What they're looking for
- Native Mandarin Chinese and professional English fluency.
- 3+ years of mobile live ops where you personally designed and priced events and bundles. Experience on China or global titles is welcome if you can show a strong understanding of Chinese players.
- Excellent communication and collaboration within cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
- Deep passion for mobile games.
- Focused on impact: understand the 80/20 rule and focus on activities that matter.
- Performance-driven and growth-oriented, with an intrinsic will to succeed while unafraid to try, fail, and learn by experimenting with new approaches and testing ideas.
- Cooperative: help others succeed and give and receive feedback well.
- Relentlessly curious: ask questions.
- Humble: ask for help and be quick to admit and learn from mistakes.
- Work and communicate in ways that are Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Relevant, and Time-bound.

The hot takeJeff's read on Yodo1
I just added Yodo1 to the Anywhere Atlas a couple months ago, and how I had missed them before is a travesty. Their entire careers page is about employees, not the company. Even better, they talk ad nauseam about working remotely (which is always good for me).
"We love games, we play games, we grow games—from anywhere in the world. Will you add the next country to our map?"
And this: "We don't care about titles, your location, or the hours you work—only your impact on helping developers grow their games." I could NOT word that any better myself, after seeing thousands of careers pages. Oh, and can I get an AMEN for a clear remote work policy?
Work From Anywhere We trust you to decide where and when you work—no matter where in the world.
And of course I love their stance on remote work: "Travel when and where you like, get paid in your currency of choice, and enjoy flexible hours and unlimited paid time off."
