About the role
At Yodo1, we don’t just grow games—we help turn them into household names. With billions of downloads across our portfolio, we’ve spent more than a decade shaping the growth of iconic titles.
Yodo1 Games is hiring a Game Lead / General Manager to take full ownership of one of our flagship titles—a game that has entertained players for over ten years and built a loyal global community—and lead it into its next decade of growth.
This is a general manager role: you'll own the game end to end. Your mandate is to protect what players love, sharpen the economics, and set the roadmap that carries the game into its next decade.
What you'll do
- Own the P&L. Take full accountability for the revenue, profitability, and long-term health of the game, setting and delivering against ambitious financial targets.
- Set the long-term vision and roadmap, balancing the core experience players love with new features, content, and systems that drive fresh growth.
- Partner with your Live Ops Manager to set the live-ops strategy, shaping the events calendar, content cadence, and monetization approach.
- Use retention, LTV, ARPDAU, cohort, and funnel analysis to surface opportunities and make data-driven prioritization calls.
- Grow and retain the player base. Understand the community that has stayed for a decade, deepen their engagement, and bring in new players.
- Lead the cross-functional team—including your Live Ops Manager, engineers, designers, QA, marketing, analytics, and community—setting clear objectives and creating the conditions for them to do their best work.
- Manage external and platform partners, including platform holders and IP or developer partners, to maximize the game’s potential.
- Work with other Game Leads and the wider Yodo1 team to share playbooks and raise the bar on how we grow games.
What they're looking for
- Extensive experience in mobile game production, live-ops, or publishing, with a track record of successful titles.
- Direct experience owning or driving the growth of a live, revenue-generating game—ideally one past its initial launch phase.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- A strong business and P&L mindset, and the ability to make decisions based on sound data analysis and careful prioritization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and proactively with colleagues across multiple countries and time zones.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and result orientation.
- Scalable thinking. Yodo1 is growing fast; those who can think big advance quickly.
- Focused on impact. You understand the 80/20 rule and focus on activities that matter.
- Performance-driven and growth-oriented, unafraid to try, fail, and learn by experimenting with new approaches and testing ideas.
- Cooperative. You help others succeed; you give and receive feedback well.
- Relentlessly curious. You ask questions.
- Humble. You ask for help; you are quick to admit and learn from your mistakes.
Nice to have
- Experience managing a long-lived or “legacy” title (5+ years in market).
- Experience scaling a game past major user or engagement milestones.
- Availability for at least 4 hours between 10 AM and 7 PM Central European Time (CET), to overlap with team members across time zones.

The hot takeJeff's read on Yodo1
I just added Yodo1 to the Anywhere Atlas a couple months ago, and how I had missed them before is a travesty. Their entire careers page is about employees, not the company. Even better, they talk ad nauseam about working remotely (which is always good for me).
"We love games, we play games, we grow games—from anywhere in the world. Will you add the next country to our map?"
And this: "We don't care about titles, your location, or the hours you work—only your impact on helping developers grow their games." I could NOT word that any better myself, after seeing thousands of careers pages. Oh, and can I get an AMEN for a clear remote work policy?
Work From Anywhere We trust you to decide where and when you work—no matter where in the world.
And of course I love their stance on remote work: "Travel when and where you like, get paid in your currency of choice, and enjoy flexible hours and unlimited paid time off."
